Portland

Well, this past weekend we attempted our first adventure as a family of 6 and went on a road trip to Portland, Oregon. We were visiting some of our very favorite people, the Prentiss family. Asher did great in the car to our pleasant surprise. The boys LOVED hanging out with the Prentiss boys for 2 and a half days. As Sam said, "they are good bro's." We had a blast playing, eating AMAZING food, *although I'm still irritated someone's dumb dog ate my leftovers!*, drinking yummy lattes, worshiping together in their new church, visiting Powell's bookstore, eating some more and enjoying lots and lots of catching up with my girl, Katie. We fell in love with Portland and its beautiful fall colors. We can't wait to go back! I wonder what it looks like in spring?

Halloween 09

We had a blast yesterday! The boys were hilarious in their costumes and they loved running from house to house with their friend Ruthie. At the last second we had a costume change by Mei, who announced at dinner she was going to be Batman. She wore her big brother's cape, donned some tights and she was ready! She called herself, "Batman-girl." And the little-est Barna was particularly scary, I mean cute, as a little pumpkin. *We were given a costume that he rejected with screaming. : ) *

Support Adoption
One of my sister's friends, Becky, and her husband are pursuing an adoption in Ethiopia. I read on my sister's blog about their fundraiser and its probably my favorite fund-raising idea EVER! They are selling re-usable grocery bags that carry a message about adoption. You get 5 bags for $50.
Did you know there are 143,000,000 million orphans in the world?
So please support adoption, my sister's dear friend, but most of all the orphans! Go order yourself some bags...I did!
